Preview of the Europe Lecture 2014

DEN HAAG (PDC) - The monthly newsletter of the Montesquieu Institute has published an exclusive preview by professor Jonathan Holslag of the Europe Lecture 2014 on October 28th in The Hague. Jonathan Holslag is one of the keynote speakers of the Europe Lecture this year.

In the preview, Jonathan Holslag introduces the theme of the 13th Europe Lecture: 'Europe in the World: Peace and Security'. Holslag warns about the consequences of Asia's rise for the position of Europe in global affairs. He briefly outlines how Europe should address the major challenges that lie ahead by sketching the contours of a new grand narrative based on geopolitics.
