Rechtenstudenten doen in Luxemburg mee aan pleitwedstrijd (en)

Law students, who have made their way through a tough selection among 70 teams since September 2010 when the European Law Moot Court Competition was launched, will today plead before panels composed of Members of the Court of Justice, the General Court and the Civil Service Tribunal of the European Union.

The teams who are competing today represent seven universities from different countries. They won their respective Regional Finals which were held in February 2010 in Heidelberg, Zagreb, Barcelona and Dublin.

Students from all over Europe participated in the competition. Those who made it to the Regional Finals also included students from the USA, Canada, Colombia, Venezuela, China, Indonesia and Turkey..

The Final is the last stage of this year's competition, the world's largest Moot Court in European law. The winners will receive various prizes, including internships with European Institutions or highly respected law firms specialised in European law.
